You may not have heard of the Sisters, Servants of Mary.  They like to "fly under the radar" but the work they do and the support they provide many families in the Kansas City area during a most challenging time in truly invaluable.

The Sisters provide overnight care to families with loved ones who are sick and dying.  They do this in the patient's own home, for no cost; regardless of religious denomination, regardless of any ability to pay.  Their mission allows families to get much needed rest in the overnight hours knowing that their loved one is being cared for by a Sister.

Founded in Spain in 1851 by Saint Maria Soledad Torres y Acosta.  The Sisters, Servants of Mary have a significant international presence, with over 120 convents spanning 20 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
